Ranch Roping September 1st
September 1 in conjunction with the Country Fair there will be a Timed Ranch Roping here at Lakedell. It will start at 3pm, entries are $40 per round x three rounds($120)
Prizes for First Second and Third place team.
Schwabs is donating Richard Brooks Hand Made, custom engraved, half breed bits for the members of the first place team! Canadian Horizontal Drilling donating second and third place prizes.

Rules for Ranch Roping 2018
All Ropers Welcome.
Ropers can have rubber on their horn, can have tie-downs, can rope with a short rope or tied on.
Enter three times – One picked team, two draw teams. Every team member must head one
Fastest time wins
Two minutes to Head
Four minutes total
Subtract 25 seconds for a Turnover
Subtract 15 seconds for any shot that hangs on the hip
Subtract additional 10 seconds for moving shots that hang on the hip
Subtract 10 seconds for moving head shots if the cattle are moving faster than the horse
Add 50 seconds for lost rodear
Add 30 seconds for animal abuse – excessive choking, excessive dragging, going to the horn on a high hock, jerking the animal down
Roper is allowed to lope to hold the rodear and once the animal is headed but roper will be DQ’ed for running an animal down trying to head it.
A belly rope is not a legal catch and it must come off before time is called
Entry fee is $120.00. This gets you entered three times.
